Commemoration of Henry Hook's VC action, 140 years on

Private Henry Hook VC was remembered last week by the villagers where he is buried, on the anniversary of the brave defence of Rorke's Drift in 1879. The Band of The Royal Welsh were in attendance. The villagers laid on refreshments afterwards and the Association was pleased to help towards the costs of funding this wonderful display of honour to this gallant and courageous action.
